how to use net2ftp

okay, this tutorial will teach you the basics of net2ftp.com. it's what i used when i got my first subby, and it helped me so much. so hopefully it helps you too! (: so, let's get cracking!

step one: go to net2ftp and put the login information given to you by your host.

step two: once you've logged in, you can pretty much do whatever you want. but, i'm gonna pretend that this is my first time logging in to my new subdomain, so what i'm gonna do is hit "new file" and name it "index.php" (which is always the homepage).

the big blue arrow is the "back" button, so to speak, and the big blue floppy disk is the "save" button.

step three: after you've explored that, i'll show you how to upload pictures to different directories. directories are pretty useful, they definitely help you keep your stuff organized. i have a directory named "photos" for all of my content, but you might be more organized and make special directories for each section of your content (graphics, resources, tutorials, layouts, etc) or even be more specific (icons, pngs, etc). either way it's completely up to you! anyways, when you've made your directory, hit "upload" which is on the main menu next to "new dir" which stands for "new directory". when you get to the upload page, choose your picture(s) and click the big green check mark. and voila! your photos have been uploaded to your new directory.

if you have any questions/suggestions just let me know, thanks!
